First check which version of Lightroom you have.

How to install Lightroom Classic Presets on Mac or Windows – Version 7.3 or later

1. Download the purchased Lightroom Presets, usually provided as a .zip file.
2. Open Lightroom Classic and go to the Develop module. From the top menu, click on File -> Import and Develop Profiles and Presets.
3. Navigate to the location of the Presets folder. Choose the .zip file containing the presets or select the already unzipped .xmp files.
4. Once imported, the presets are now available for use. You can find them in the Presets section on the left panel.

Note: These instructions are specific to Lightroom Classic version 7.3 or later, which uses the .xmp file format. For older versions of Lightroom, please refer to the instructions provided below.

How to install Presets for Lightroom 4, 5, 6, Classic on Mac or Windows – Version 7.2 or older

1. Download the purchased Lightroom Presets, typically provided as a .zip file. Unzip the contents.
2. Launch Lightroom. If you’re using Windows, click on Edit -> Preferences in the menu bar. For Mac users, click on Lightroom -> Preferences.
3. In the Preferences window, navigate to the Presets tab.
4. Click on the button labeled “Show Lightroom Presets Folder” (for older versions) or “Show All Other Lightroom Presets” (for newer versions).
5. Locate the Develop Presets folder within the Lightroom folder.
6. Copy the downloaded and unzipped .lrtemplate files into the Develop Presets folder.
7. Restart Lightroom, and the presets will be ready to use. You can find them in the Presets section on the left panel.

Note: These instructions are specifically for Lightroom 4, 5, 6, and Lightroom Classic (version 7.2 or older), which use .lrtemplate files. For newer versions of Lightroom, refer to the previous set of instructions using .xmp files.

How to install Lightroom CC Presets on Mac or Windows

To install presets in Lightroom CC, please follow these steps:

1. Download the purchased Lightroom Presets, which are typically provided as a .zip file.
2. Launch Lightroom CC and select an image.
3. From the top menu, click on File -> Import Profiles and Presets.
4. Navigate to the location of the Presets folder and select the .zip file containing the presets. Alternatively, you can choose already unzipped .xmp files.
5. Once imported, the presets are now ready to be used. Open the Presets Panel located on the right side of the interface.
6. Simply click on a preset in the panel to apply it to your image.

How to Install Lightroom Mobile Presets

A. Installing Lightroom Mobile Presets on Android devices

To install presets in Lightroom Mobile on Android devices, follow these steps:

1. Transfer the downloaded .ZIP file from your desktop computer to your Android device.
2. Open the Lightroom app on your Android device and select an image from your library.
3. Tap the Presets tab located at the bottom of the toolbar.
4. Tap the three dots icon and select “Import Presets“.
5. Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the ZIP file and import it. Alternatively, you can use the “My Files” app to extract the ZIP file and import selected preset .dng files from its contents.

All the presets will be imported and ready to use. You can find them in a new group within the Presets tab.

B. Installing Lightroom Mobile Presets on iPhone / iOS devices

To install presets in Lightroom Mobile on iPhone or iOS devices, follow these steps:

1. Extract the downloaded .ZIP file on your desktop computer. Transfer all the .dng files to your iPhone or iOS device.
2. Using AirDrop is recommended for the fastest transfer.
3. Open the Lightroom app on your iPhone and tap the “+” icon in your library to create a new folder. Name this folder “Presets” and open it. Then, tap “Create New Album” and name the album after the presets you downloaded.
4. Once you’re inside the album, tap the “Add” icon to import new images. Navigate to the folder where you transferred the .dng files and select and open all of them.
5. Open the first image and tap the three dots at the top right to access the menu. Then, tap “Create Preset“.
6. Name the preset after the preset pack and save it to the Presets group.
7. Repeat the previous two steps with each .dng file (image) until all the presets are listed in the Presets panel.
